Events - monthly schedule

(See the main events page for events with specific dates and where I'll have significant participation.)

I've decided to list regular events chronologically to provide a better view of what's happening during the month, focusing on Melbourne's East and South-east.  Most of these places accept a tad of poetry as well, particularly bush poetry.  In a few places like Burrinja and Peninsula Folk Club, you can buy dinner and have a beer, others have tea/coffee and biscuits.  One special place even has mulled wine on offer but you'll have to try all the venues to find out which one.

Click on the venue to go directly to their web page!

A mixed bag of acoustic performances, play on your own or with the backing of the house band (bass, guitar, keyboards, drums and digderidoo!) led by Michelle Chandler.  Perform or just enjoy the show with a meal, wine and coffee -  at the Burrinja Cafe, Upwey.

In it's 10th year, Fathers is a completely unplugged venue, allowing  just your voice and your instrument - it's strictly and purely acoustic!  The sound properties of the chapel allow the spoken word to be heard even right at the back.  Currently there is no official website. Performances start at 7.30pm at St. Johns Anglican Church, Childers Street, Cranbourne.  The place has been undergoing renovations so the hall is being used temporarily.  The people here are awesome!

Held in Upwey's Burrinja Cultural Centre, Brian hosts a fun night that's friendly and open to all who enjoy live music.  Gold coin donation - how cheap is that!

For lovers of acoustic music! Held in Berwick for both B.A.D. folk and others less bad.
